ABOUT

The heel is both the spine and the soul of the shoe.
It is the direct line of connection between the soft flesh of the wearer and the world beneath them.
A point of pressure. And release.
Strength and vulnerability.

In Homer’s Odyssey, Achilles has only one weakness — his heel. And it is through that eponymous heel that Paris avenges his brother, Ettore.

Ettore is the namesake of that myth and the embodiment of its paradoxes — elegance and force, softness and strength, the heroic and the sensual.

Founded by footwear designer Pablo Mancuso, Ettore is the culmination of a twenty-year journey at the highest levels of the fashion industry. Born into a shoemaking family in Mendoza, Argentina — to an Argentinian mother and Italian father — Mancuso’s path has been one of relentless artistry and experimentation. With a foundation in fine art and a formal education at London College of Fashion’s esteemed Cordwainers, he has developed shoes for the catwalk, for couture, and for the collector.

Following years of crafting for globally celebrated houses — and a defining tenure as Head of Design at Malone Souliers — Mancuso relocated to Italy in 2021 to study the art of heelmaking. It was in Venice, surrounded by water, stone, and centuries of craft, that Ettore was born.

Ettore Collection One is a study in contrasts: curves meet architectural lines, joyful silhouettes are grounded in sculptural heels, and hand-finished details fuse with the innovation of 3D-printed components. Inspired by the boldness of Modernism and the optimism of Pop Art, these pieces are designed to surprise — shapes that look familiar at first glance reveal subtle distortions, unexpected twists, and moments of impossibility.

Every Ettore shoe is made in Italy using the finest materials and generations of artisanal knowledge, designed for those who walk their own path — with purpose, grace, and power.
